As a cross-disciplinary health-focused product development team consisting of research, technology, design, strategy and product functions, we define the next generation of mobile health product and service experiences for Samsung devices.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Ph.D. candidate or recent Ph.D. graduate with strong background in cardiovascular electrophysiology, biological signal processing, and data analytics. By leveraging data collected by Samsung consumer wearable devices, the candidate will be able to assess and develop algorithm solutions to tackle the early detection of cardiovascular rhythm disorders.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with innovative R&D team to assess and develop impactful health products
• Triage and organize large clinical databases for future algorithm development and validation efforts

Required Skills:

• PhD candidate or recent graduate in a relevant Science or Engineering field, such as Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science
• Strong background in biological signal processing, cardiovascular electrophysiology, data analytics, and visualization. Prior experience with wearable technology is preferred
• Ability to use a data analysis tool or programming language such as MATLAB, R, or Python
• Working understanding of statistics
• Good verbal and written communication skills and team work

The base pay range for roles at this level is listed below, but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.

Base Pay Range

$44—$63 USD

Essential Job Functions

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
