Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. This position is perfect for individuals who have a strong foundation in accounting principles and are eager to contribute to the financial health of our organization.

Duties

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and payment approvals.
• Support payroll management tasks, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation.
• Utilize Quicken and other accounting software to manage financial data effectively.
• Perform data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with the finance team on technical accounting issues as they arise.
• Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation for audits.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed, contributing to overall financial analysis

Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting software and financial software tools is essential.
• Experience with journal entries, accounts payable, payroll management, and data entry is preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills with the ability to analyze numerical data effectively.
• Familiarity with Paychex or similar payroll systems is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in all work performed.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
