Job Description

Our client, a Fintech company with offices in New York and New Jersey that provides alternative funding to small and mid-sized business (SMBs) is seeking a proactive and highly-motivated Accounts Receivables Manager based out of their  Jersey City, NJ office who will be responsible for supervising our in-house collections team.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the collections team and the end-to-end collections process, offering support, guidance and ongoing training.
• Setting performance goals, providing regular feedback, and conducting training sessions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Creating collections strategy and assessing likelihood of recovery on defaulted accounts.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency of the collections process, reduce the number of overdue accounts, and enhance cash flow.
• Overseeing judgment enforcement by levy, garnishment and other lawful judicial remedies.
• Managing outside collections counsel on active litigation cases.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years managing collections teams.
• Strong knowledge of commercial collections processes, credit risk assessment, and accounts receivable management.
• Knowledge of relevant collections laws and regulations.
• Understanding of court filings.
• Exhibit a sense of urgency and accountability, and ensure compliance with applicable contracts and local, state, and federal laws.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a busy environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
