Job Description

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs
• Establishing appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on a limited amount of equipment in the facility
• Performing timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area
• Dismantling defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment
• Maintaining accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs
• Coordinating and making recommendations on work-related contracts and services
• Supervising outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance
• Participating, supporting, and complying with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical and technical aptitude
• 1-3 years experience in an industrial, maintenance environment
• Must be insurable and possess a valid Driver’s License
• College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
• Ability to use basic measurement instruments such as tape measure, scales, and gauges
• Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
• Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
• Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment such as, forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry picker
