Job Description

The Executive Director of Facilities Management is a key leadership role within Aramark at Yosemite National Park. This position reports to the Vice President Operations and coordinates activities within Yosemite National Park. It oversees the Facilities Management Department, Historic Preservation Project Manager and Facility safety operations. The position supports the Vice President in providing administrative services and fostering collaboration with NPS Park Staff as well as collaborating and supporting additional leaders within Aramark. 

Compensation: The salary range for this position ranges from $140,000 to $170,000, depending on circumstances including applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting. 

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.​

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions 
•    Coordinates planning of, and direction for, park wide work plans for all Facility operations. Works collaboratively with Director and managers of Facilities and other park leaders to assess and complete work activities.
•    Assures that all Park facilities are maintained in the best possible working order and that facilities are always safe and code compliant.
•    Oversees a cloud-based CMMS asset management and facilities work order system, ensuring compliance from the team to utilize the system appropriately.
•    Implements and maintains a comprehensive preventive maintenance program across the park facilities.
•    Plans, implements, and monitors workflow and work products, while assessing results, methods, and procedures.
•    Participates in and supervises, as necessary, the development and administration of Facilities budgets. Monitors and approves expenditures as necessary.
•    Develops, plans, and participates in the implementation of departmental and park-wide goals; initiates and recommends actions to accomplish these objectives.
•    Contributes to the development of long-term objectives and plans.
•    Supports Park wide sustainability goals and projects.
•    In collaboration with the Purchasing Department and others involved in various areas of Facilities Management, develops RFPs, bids, contracts, and proposals for facilities related services.
•    Coordinates operations and maintenance of building systems like electrical, HVAC, fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, boilers, and elevators. Ensures Park compliance and maintains all necessary certificates and records electronically.
•    Provides professional development opportunities for Directors of Facilities, Managers, and their staff. Ensures essential training in OSHA, Hazardous Materials, and other critical areas for all Facilities staff at Yosemite Hospitality.
•    Partners with internal stakeholders and client stakeholder to ensure compliance with Historic Preservation. 
•    Leads the team through compliance within a union environment.
•    Key leader in hiring and maintaining proper staffing levels within the Facility Operations team to support needs of the operations. 
•    Coordinates and collaborates with Park leaders on Custodial Services within Aramark land assignment. 
•    Performs other duties as assigned or as required.

Qualifications


•    Bachelor's degree required in engineering, architecture or a related degree in the construction/facilities industry from an accredited college or university.
•    Must have at least eight years of management experience in Facilities Services, Construction, Administration, or a related field. Experience in higher education, healthcare, corporate, or medium to large campus institutions is preferred.
•    Expert knowledge of facility management principles and practices.
•    Practical experience with accounting and finance rules and regulations as mandated by federal and state agencies.
•    Mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems (operations and design).
•    Experience in selecting, operating and training others in the use of CMMS software and/or other administrative tools associated with the above.
•    Demonstrated ability to interact with public agencies, code review and approval authorities.
•    Ability to develop job-specific policies, procedures, and operating practices.
•    Effective and encouraging interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
