About the Role
As the Incident Response Manager you will lead the resolution of complex and high-stakes incidents involving our autonomous vehicles. This role is essential in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our autonomous vehicle fleet. You will use your technical expertise and influential cross-functional abilities to drive swift and effective resolution, collaborating with diverse teams across the organization.
What You’ll be Doing
Lead the response to critical incidents involving autonomous vehicles, ensuring rapid and effective resolution to minimize impact on operations and safety
Partner with our AV Partner to support the diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex issues related to autonomous vehicle systems, including software, hardware, and network components
Work closely with engineering, operations, safety, legal, communication, and executive teams to coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring alignment and effective communication across all team members
Continuously enhance incident management processes, tools, and best practices to improve response times, communication, and overall effectiveness
Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, response actions, and resolutions, ensuring comprehensive documentation for future reference and analysis
Serve as the primary point of contact for team members during incidents, providing timely updates and managing expectations effectively
Mentor and train junior incident managers and cross-functional team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
Track and report on key performance indicators related to incident management, using data to drive improvements
What you will need for this position
Familiarity with and strong preference to use AI tools to run operations and solve problems rather than hiring headcount
Availability and willingness to work outside of normal office hours
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
7+ years of experience in incident management, crisis management, or a related field, with a strong focus on technical incident resolution and program management
Exceptional technical proficiency with proven experience in a highly technical industry
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams in high-pressure situations
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
The ability to work autonomously in a decentralised organisation
Right to work in the United States of America.

Directly reporting to our RHO: General Manager, and closely working with our Operations Team.
