Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sports Dietitian at a school account in Florida . This role is instrumental in designing and implementing individualized and team-focused nutrition programs that optimize athletic performance, enhance recovery, and support academic success. As a key player in our athletic and wellness programs, you will collaborate closely with coaches, athletic trainers, and educators to promote a culture of health and excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored nutrition plans to support the specific needs of student-athletes, including performance, recovery, and overall health.
  • Provide individual and group nutrition counseling sessions to educate student-athletes on meal planning, hydration, and fueling strategies.
  • Design menus and collaborate with the culinary team to ensure meals meet performance-focused dietary guidelines.
  • Monitor and assess student-athletes’ nutritional needs, performance metrics, and health goals.
  • Educate athletes on the role of nutrition in athletic performance, injury prevention, and recovery.
  • Stay updated on the latest sports nutrition research and integrate evidence-based practices into programs.
  • Coordinates with the dining management team and culinary associates to meet dietary needs for all customers
  • Provides nutrition related training including food allergen training to all associates
  • Build and implement student centered nutrition education programs
  • Assists the management team with menu development and nutrient analysis
  • Work in tandem with coaches, athletic trainers, and medical staff to create holistic wellness strategies for athletes.
  • Lead workshops and seminars for students, parents, and staff to promote nutritional awareness and performance enhancement.
  • Ensure all nutrition plans and programs follow regulatory guidelines and the school’s wellness policies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sports nutrition or working with student-athletes.
  • In-depth knowledge of sports nutrition principles, performance optimization, and recovery strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with students, parents, and staff.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Passion for empowering student-athletes to achieve their goals through nutrition and wellness.
