JOB TITLE: Sr. Aircraft Cabinet Finisher

LOCATION: Savannah, GA

PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

• Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

Summary:

• Prepares, applies, and touches up finishes on aircraft furniture based on specifications and engineering drawings.

• Under general supervision, the role involves overseeing projects, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring high-quality finishes.

• Implements safety protocols and process improvements, using Lean Six Sigma tools to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.

• 4+ years of experience in wood finishing processes.

• Advanced knowledge of cabinet finishing processes and products.

• Ability to interpret material specifications and design/engineering requirements.

• Strong mentoring and leadership skills.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, and work in confined spaces.

• Computer literacy.

Desired Skills

• Experience in the aerospace industry.

• Knowledge of inspection and process specifications.

• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools and process improvements.
