To teach a safe, effective, and fun swim lesson, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Aquatics Director and Head Swim Instructor. Emphasize water safety and correct stroke technique. Represent the Club’s swim program in a manner that is consistent, professional, and supportive. Promote other classes and services to participants.
Aquatics Manager/Aquatics Coordinator
To create and deepen relationships with Members we know and do not yet know, that will add value to their membership, enhance their sense of belonging and sense of community within the club.
Teach all lessons and classes as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.
Make your students’ safety and enjoyment your number one priority.
Make students feel successful and encourage future lessons.
Encourage enjoyment of the water and water activities.
Arrive early to prepare for lessons, and stay after to interact with participants and/or their parents.
Be available to substitute teach whenever possible.
Convey warmth and genuine interest to the students: make eye contact, smile, and use students’ names.
Commit to the position as a business professional.
Light office work when required or requested during down times.
Ensure all life-saving equipment is readily available and know proper use of such equipment.
Achieve and maintain certifications needed for Swim Instructor; keep CPR, WSI and AED certification current, and participate in continuing education in your profession.
Adhere to all Club Standards, Policies and Procedures
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Manager or Aquatics Coordinator.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Arrive to work on time
Available a minimum of 2 hours per shift and a minimum of 3 days per week.
Work the hours and schedule with the minimum amount of requested changes.
Find proper coverage for shifts when needed

Able to achieve required certifications.
Able to properly demonstrate all strokes and techniques taught.
Able to perform assigned lesson/class of duration of class while teaching and coaching without becoming out of breath (i.e. maintain a level of cardiovascular fitness that allows this)
